Safe Church Training

Keeping our children safe is of primary importance in our diocese. Safe Church Training, offered in a four hour workshop format, is required for all church employees, all volunteers who spend extended periods of time with children or youth,and all volunteers who serve at overnight events with youth.

Safe Church trainers present the workshops at churches or schools as they are invited to do so. To schedule a workshop, please contact Deacon Pam Dunbar, 214-826-8310 or pdunbar@episcopal-dallas.org.

Workshop sites need to provide a television with vcr or dvd equipment, a white board, chalkboard or easel with pad, and tables and chairs for the participants. A four-hour window is needed for the workshop and may be scheduled at any time: Saturday mornings or afternoons, weekday evenings or Sunday afternoons. Notice of each workshop will be shared with the diocese via the clergy listserve and this website and enrollment is open to all interested adults. A record of those attending each workshop is kept on file in the Canon to the Ordinary's office.
